Maximizing productivity

For cane sugar factories we provide harvesters that chop and load cane and trash for just in time delivery. Trash is separated and shredded at the factory and used as a supplementary, renewable boiler fuel to co-generate electricity. Excess power is sold or used in the manufacture of new, value added products. We provide new technology for cane washing that separates soil completely from mechanically harvested cane. This is achieved without pol loss to significantly reduce erosion in milling and boiler plants and dextran in sugar.
Our factory solution also provides purpose manufactured equipment to shred chopped, washed cane into fine fibres, to implement new technology for juice maceration, to improve cane feeding, mill automation and new mill settings. The combined effect dramatically increases the mill capacity and delivers 97% pol extraction and bagasse of 45% moisture.
For juice processing, our technology reduces operating cost and operational complexity while increasing operational efficiencies. This includes total bagacillo removal by juice clarification, triple effect juice evaporation to produce syrup of 72 o brix, syrup clarification, syrup filtration and batch and continuous crystallisation to produce direct consumption sugars or sugars for industrial users. Factory performance achieves 35% steam on cane and 89%+ recovery.

Achieving Optimum Quality

Our refining solution adds value to raw and VHP cane sugars. The diagnostic consultancy services we provide enables clients to define then optimise their technical and commercial strategies for manufacturing EEC II granulated refined sugar or liquid sucrose or invert syrup. The manufacturing technologies we provide include affination, melting, clarification, filtration, decolourisation or de-ashing ion exchange resin, treatment of effluent brine, carbon decolourisation, evaporation, crystallisation and drying. Our refining solutions deliver 96% sucrose yield and sucrose recovery determined by the (2 x pol) – 100 formulae while steam usage is typically 80% on refined sugar.
